Hi there!

Nick Sanders here, President and Principal Consultant of Apogee Consulting, Inc.. I have a personal message to those who visit our website for news and information.

I was surprised last Saturday when a package arrived at my doorstep. It was not ticking!

Instead, it contained a large can full of salted Virginia peanuts, courtesy of Tim Snyder. Thanks for the treat, Tim!

Tim enclosed a brief note, letting me know that he appreciated my efforts to keep churning out blog posts week after week. (We’re well north of 600 individual entries at this point.) Well, Tim, my family and I very much appreciate the tasty and tangible manifestation of your appreciation from the “peanut gallery”!

I do get feedback every so often. Most of the feedback is positive (which is nice). Some of it is thoughtful. Some of it contains tidbits of information that finds their way into future blog posts. Some of it consists of marriage proposals from erstwhile single women in the Russian Republic.

It’s all good (even though we are blocking Russian IP addresses as fast as we identify them). Feedback is welcome. If you don’t know my email address, it’s right over there on the contact button. This year, we also added comment and feedback functionality for each new article—though precious few readers have made use of it to date.

Some readers have asked how they can support the website. At least a couple of you have offered to throw some money my way. So far I have refused all such offers with as much courtesy as I can muster. Money is not the primary motivation for writing these articles; in fact, I’m quite sure that I lose a certain amount of new business because I refuse to “tone it down” and be more politically correct in my pontificating. So be it.

If you are looking to support me and Apogee Consulting, Inc., then I have two options for your consideration.

  1. I am working on a couple of articles/short publications that I will try to self-publish on Amazon. They won’t be expensive. I’m thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.99 to $5.99. I’ll let you know when they’re available. It would be very nice if you were to buy a copy. If you like it, your review on Amazon would be helpful. That will be later this year, if all goes well. Supporting my output on Amazon supports me here

  2. My family and I—all four of us—will be walking in the AIDSWalk Orange County fundraiser this year, on May 4th. The funds we raise go to the AIDS Service Foundation of Orange County, CA. This will be the fourth time we’ve walked to raise funds for that entity. Would you please consider sponsoring us—which would be a tax deductible donation for you? If interested, you can find a brief blurb and sponsorship link at the bottom of the site’s main page.

Most of us are doing well—or at least getting by—while so many others around us struggle with day-to-day survival. My family gives back to others in our community in various ways that include walking each year to raise money for the AIDS Service Foundation of Orange County. Won’t you please consider joining us in those efforts?

Thanks for your continued support!
