Steve, Thanks for your comment.  In fairness to the CWC, they did hear from several Lt. and Major Generals from the armed forces.  That said, the individuals who testified were given questions and topics in advance; their testimony was shaped by the CWC and its staff along the desired lines. It’s been said that auditors are those who go into a field after a battle and bayonet the wounded fighters.  We might add to that an observation that (some) politicians are those who criticize the auditors for failing to stab faster and for missing some of the wounded.
